Earlier today, a swarm of PS5 event invites started being sent to outlets around the world.
Upon closer inspection, the email proved to be fake, but that hasn’t stopped the invite being spread around the internet (and we all know how quickly things like this become a reality in the gaming world).
The email was coupled with the text: “See the future of PlayStation and Interactive Entertainment”.
If this had of turned out to be true, it would have been seven years since the PS4 reveal, which also took place in February.
It’s unlikely that we’ll be getting a PS5 reveal in the earlier parts of this year, but there’s potential for it to happen later this year or early next.
