It’s not hugely surprising, but one day ahead of Disney Plus launching in Australia, everything Disney has been removed off Stan. The removal of programs started happening last week, but now there’s no trace of any Disney content left on the platform.
This includes all of the Disney and Pixar TV Shows/Movies as well as the Marvel/Star Wars content that had been on the platform. The deal was revealed 11 months ago (December 2018) before swiftly launching on the platform.
It’s rumoured that Disney/Stan will launch some kind of bundle streaming deal, which should help Stan retrain some of the subscription numbers.
