It feels like it’s something that doesn’t happen all that often, but it looks as though Gmail and Google are both having issues in Australia at the moment. As noticed by Gizmodo, the issues look to have began at about 2:00pm AEST today with users starting to report that they were having issues on Down Detector. Two hours later and the issues are continuing with well over 3000 reports of outages in that two hour period.
Google’s status page reports that as of 3:29pm, they were investigating issues. Another update 4:07 confirmed that they are still investigating issues with an update to come at 6:00pm. The page also references issues with Google Docs, Google Drive and Google Meet.
