Fortress Melbourne opened right as the pandemic swept the world, but has quickly become a popular gaming venue here in Melbourne with a tavern, places to play games, board games, stream and hang out with like minded people. It also features a broadcast quality esports arena within the venue.
It seems as though Fortress is set to expand into Sydney, with the company’s Twitter account introducing that Fortress Sydney is on the way. We don’t know a lot about the Sydney venue, and if it will have the same huge scale that the Melbourne venue does, but it’s set to open at 28 Broadway, Chippendale NSW. It’s set to open late this year.

We don’t know when Fortress Sydney will open, but we’ll definitely keep you posted when we know more about the venue. It’s great to see that Covid hasn’t effected them to the point that they can’t continue to grow in other parts of the country and hopefully succeed.
