Tonight saw the Australian Game Developer Awards (AGDAs) enter their 20th year of celebrating the immense talent of video game developers across the country.
With a return to an in-person event at The Forum Melbourne during GCAP/Melbourne International Games Week and right on the cusp of PAX Australia weekend, local talent buzzed with excitement as awards were handed out across 13 distinct game categories as well as four personal and studio awards.
It was a night of well-deserved wins, especially for Victoria nominees which took out a whopping 10 of the 13 developer awards as well as for women-led studios with the likes of Studio Drydock and Lumi Interactive seeing recognition. Cult of the Lamb proved a favourite, taking out the coveted Game of the Year award among three other wins.
