Those patiently waiting to get stuck into the latest from miHoYo and HoYoverse, the folks behind the incredibly-popular Genshin Impact and Honkai Star Rail, can finally mark their calendars. Zenless Zone Zero, a stylish free-t0-play action RPG, is officially launching on July 4th, 2024.
Better yet, this one’s coming to all announced platforms on the same date, across PC, mobile and PS5, so PlayStation players aren’t left with an added wait this time around, and the game will support cross-progression and cross-play features at launch.
If you’ve missed it up to this point, Zenless Zone Zero is billed as an “urban fantasy ARPG” that aims to skirt the line between approachability and complexity to draw in both new players to the genre as well as action game enthusiasts, in addition to drawing glances with its striking and stylish sights, sounds and overall vibe. It’s also set in a post-apocalyptic world where the last of civilisation resides in the city of New Eridu, and players take on the role of a “Proxy” as they take on challenges alongside adventurers within the very supernatural disasters that have destroyed the world, known as Hollows.

As usual, HoYoverse is running a pre-registration campaign which promises to furnish players with a number of in-game rewards at launch based on reaching milestones. If the game can manage to secure 40 million pre-registrations, it’ll new players a bundle of in-game items and currencies, as well as a new playable Agent.
