The Top 10 Games In Australia And New Zealand

What's charting lately?

What games have Aussie and New Zealand players been picking up most in recent weeks? That’s the question we’re answering every Monday with thanks to the weekly Top 10 ANZ Games Charts from the folks over at the Interactive Games & Entertainment Association (IGEA).

The latest report, which comes from the week ending May 26th, 2024, has seen a couple of new key players enter the rankings with the recent PC release of Sucker Punch’s excellent Ghost of Tsushima: Director’s Cut seeing that game sneak its way back in at a #3 spot and a #6 spot in Australia and NZ, respectively. But it’s the latest Nintendo Switch first-party drop that’s really “done numbers,” as I’ve heard the kids say, debuting at #1 in the Aussie chart and #2 across the pond, proving that Switch players are still hungry for more top-notch content this late in the platform’s life.

Elsewhere, it’s a little more predictable with the usual suspects in COD: MW3, GTA 5 and the big sports titles, though it’s nice to see Helldivers 2 back in the mix and there’s also a bit of renewed love for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim: Special Edition in both nations, according to the rankings.
