Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack tier subscribers can play Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team on their Switch consoles right now by downloading/updating the NSO Game Boy Advance app.

It’s not every time that we get advance notice of a new Nintendo Switch Online drop, but every now and then a game is high-profile enough that Nintendo decides to start hyping it up early – case in point an announcement of the upcoming release of Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team.
The game, which originally launched for the Game Boy Advance in 2005/2006, is headed to the Switch next week on Friday, August 9th, and will be available for members subscribed to the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack tier.
Red Rescue Team was the final Pokémon game released for the GBA, with its matching partner game in Blue Rescue Team having been a Nintendo DS release. The Switch actually got a remake of both games in 2020, titled Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team DX, so you’ll now be able to play both the original and updated takes on the game on the Switch.
