The Nintendo Switch 2 Experience has been happening over the last few weekends (we were lucky enough to go in New York before it opened), and the experience allows people to play several Mario Kart World demoes including one that lets you free roam before playing Knockout Tour.
One player has already discovered something amazing in Free Roam mode, and as expected, I think this mode is going to have a lot more to it than we’ve already seen (and will probably be revealed in the Nintendo Direct this week).
Twitter user Getmadz found a hovercraft in the middle of the water in the free roam mode, which they could enter and then drive around a lot faster than they could in their regular kart. There were teases of this in the reveal trailer with bigger vehicles seen around the map, so it’ll be interesting to see what other secrets the map is hiding.
Mario Kart World launches alongside the Nintendo Switch 2 on June 5th.
