In case you missed it, Nintendo hosted a Nintendo Direct in the early hours of the Sunday morning solely focused on providing a new look at The Super Mario Galaxy movie. The new trailer showcases all new scenes not featured in the first teaser we got a couple of months ago, which means a whole bunch of new Mario characters and nostalgia to ‘Wahaha!’ over.
The trailer is jam packed with Mario titbits from a whole range of games, but most surprisingly – especially for a Mario Galaxy titled movie – this trailer features ALOT from the Mario Odyssey games. We get to see Fire Flowers in action, Frog Luigi, what appears to be the Super Scope from the SNES throwback Yoshi’s Safari, the Mario Odyssey T-Rex, as well as our official introduction to Yoshi – not to mention Birdo making her debut!
It’s looking like The Super Mario Galaxy Movie is set to delivery another epic experience to fans – so be sure to get ready to book your tickets at your local cinemas come April 1st 2026 when the movie releases.
