It is now being reported that the Nintendo NX will now enter mass production in early 2017, delaying it by about half of the year from Nintendo’s original production plan commencing in mid-2016. It is not clear whether this will delay it from it’s original March 2017 release date.
It is also being reported that Nintendo will feature a 5-7 inch display allowing it to essentially become a mobile product. It can can obviously connect also connect to the TV for a more traditional experience.
The most interesting piece of information is the fat that one of the main reasons that production is delayed is due to the fact that Nintendo wanted to ensure that it had VR functionality to compete with current trends in the market.
