Iran Is The First Country To Ban Pokemon GO

According to the BBC, Iran have become the first nation to completely ban Pokemon GO. This is largely due to security concerns with the decision being made by the High Council of Virtual Spaces, who are a legitimate official body overseeing online activity.

It isn’t clear what security concerns the Iranian High Council had with the game, although it appears that it seems to be around trespassing by large group gatherings, with robberies and assaults also likely to be playing a role.

It has also been reported that Iranian authorities were considering to ban the game last month, but were trying to work with Niantic Labs, over creating potential restrictions.

PC Gamer are also reporting that Singaporean officials are looking into banning the game, with it apparently causing day-to-day problems for residents.
