Pokemon GO’s latest update has brought forward wo different ways to track Pokemon. Firstly, most people have a new ‘Sighting’ screen which shows you which Pokemon are in your immediate area. Some people also have a ‘Nearby’ screen which appears to still be in testing. It shows you Pokemon outside of your immediate area in relation to local Pokestops. It’s not clear whether the ‘Nearby’ functionality will ever make it out of testing. I’m sure that Niantic will want to be absolutely certain on the functionality before rolling it out.
