The fan-made Pokemon game Pokemon Uranium has been taken down by its developers after receiving takedown notices from lawyers claiming to represent Nintendo.
The game had been downloaded over 1.5 million times since it was released just under 2 weeks ago. According to a tweet on the developers official account, the decision to remove the download links ultimately was a voluntary one.
The developers will continue to provide bug fixes and patches for those that have already downloaded the game.
