The Switch Will Be A Single Screen Experience Even When Played On TV

A Nintendo representative has confirmed to Polygon that the Nintendo Switch controller cannot be used as a second screen even when placed into the Nintendo Switch Dock.

“Nintendo Switch is dedicated to deliver a single-screen experience, on whatever screen you might choose.” Said a Nintendo rep.

This is something that has been a little bit confusing since the Switch was announced as it was such a core part of the Nintendo Wii U experience. It’s also uncertain how games such as Splatoon will function as the touch-screen was pretty core the entire experience.

Nintendo has also gone on the record to say that they won’t be discussing core specs, whether the console is region free or a final lineup of titles until next year.

The Nintendo Switch will be released in March 2017.

Thanks, Polygon.
