Nintendo Is Doubling Nintendo Switch Production

Nintendo has today revealed to the WSJ that they’re doubling production of the Nintendo Switch between April, 2017 and March, 2018.

Nintendo originally said they wanted to sell two million units within the first month, which it looks like they will surpass, with the Nintendo Switch being the best launch in Australia, USA and Europe.

Whilst some people are predicting that the Switch might be on track for Nintendo Wii levels of sales, it’s pretty clear at this point that it’s tracking well ahead of the Nintendo Wii U both from a critical and commercial point of view.

Hopefully, Nintendo can keep up momentum over the coming months, into E3 and then towards the important holiday season.

Thanks, WSJ.
