Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Sales Show Nintendo Switch Is On The Right Path

It’s now been revealed that Mario Kart 8 Deluxe for Nintendo Switch has sold 459,000 copies in the USA on the first day of sale. This makes it the fastest-selling game in the Mario Kart series. Vooks has reported that it even passes Mario Kart Wii which only sold 433,900 copies on the first day.

In the UK, the game outsold the Wii U version of the game in the opening week. This is pretty impressive considering the game released for Wii U much later in life. It’s also the first game since Pokemon Black in 2011 to top the UK charts.

This coupled with the fact that the Nintendo Switch outsold Nintendo’s expectations in March and the fact it’s still selling out within hours in America proves that the Nintendo Switch is on the path to success.

Honestly, the Nintendo Switch is a great concept and if Nintendo can keep delivering on great software that’s communicated well in marketing, then the Nintendo Switch is clearly going to go from strength to strength.
