It’s been many, many years since Super Meat Boy released on every platform known to man.
The team has finally announced a sequel, which is essentially Super Meat Boy 2, but the team is calling it Super Meat Boy Forever. It also differs quite greatly to the first game in the sense that it’s practically an endless runner. Meat Boy also has a little baby, that he must rescue throughout the multiple levels.
Something that will be a warning sign to many people is the fact that it’s launching on iOS and Android alongside the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Steam.
I must admit, it does look great, but it is a little bit disappointing that we waited this long for a sequel that is essentially a watered down version of the original game. Now, don’t get me wrong, it still has potential to be addictive and painfully hard just as the first game was, but there’s a lot more room for this to be close to a generic endless runner.
