After leaking multiple times this week, Nintendo has finally lifted the lid on the Super Mario cereal. They’ve announced that it will come to American stores on December 11th complete with colourful marshmallows and mixed berry goodness.
Whilst this looks awesome, and is sure to be popular with any Nintendo fan (or kid alike), It’s the actual Amiibo functionality that I’m quite disappointed with. I was hoping for a new costume or something trivial, but the box only brings the same functionality that is found with any plain old Amiibo. You’ll get a heart or some coins for scanning in your cereal box.
Nintendo Australia hasn’t confirmed whether it’ll come down under yet, but some specialty stores should definitely have at least limited quantities.
