Nintendo and Microsoft have taken their will to work together to a whole new level, by both promoting a brand new Minecraft trailer that clearly shows both the Nintendo Switch and Xbox One several times in the trailer.
Whilst Cross Play isn’t really a new thing (although it’s becoming more common for Microsoft and Nintendo), it’s been the kind of thing that has always just existed, without being actively pushed by either company.
Well, that’s all changed. The tagline at the end of the trailer is ‘Better Together’. It’s not clear whether this will be specific to Minecraft, or will be rolled out for other games going forward, but it’s clearly a stand nonetheless.
