Nintendo Direct 2022

The Big E3 Nintendo Direct Has Apparently Been Delayed From June

It’s pretty clear that all video game release plans are being moved around all over the place at the moment and it seems that Nintendo is no exception.

Due to the fact that Nintendo normally host online broadcasts for its E3 presentation, it was assumed that this would still happen in June, but a report by Venture Beat overnight suggest that this will no longer happen.

This is reportedly due to the fact that Japan’s culture doesn’t lend itself to a “work from home” model. This event was supposed to be where Nintendo revealed the heavily rumoured 35th anniversary celebration for Mario, which includes remakes of Super Mario 64, Super Mario Galaxy and Super Mario Sunshine.

It’s unclear when we’ll see Nintendo’s major 2020 Nintendo Direct happen, but you’d think sometime between July and September is looking likely.
