Nintendo Switch eShop Pre-Orders Can Now Be Cancelled Until A Week Before Release

Nintendo has announced that as of today, Nintendo Switch eShop pre-orders can now be cancelled up until seven days before a game releases. This is the point where they will take the money from your account. Games that you pre-order within a week of releasing will still be charged instantly and you will not be able to cancel these pre-orders.

Previously, the Nintendo Switch eShop would charge charge customers as soon as a pre-order was made, and there would be no way to get a refund prior to the game releasing. Unfortunately, this doesn’t look to apply for any game that you may have pre-ordered before today (even if it’s more than seven days until release). You can read more about the change HERE.
