At this point, we know that the development and release of Mighty No. 9 has been an absolute mess. It’s seen delay after delay and the final product isn’t quite what was promised when the company took millions of dollars in Kickstarter money. On a live-stream which was suppose to celebrate the games launch, Inafune was asked how he feels about the negative criticism that the game is receiving. He responded saying that “even if it’s not perfect, it’s better than nothing”.
Whilst this comment is quite harmless, it’s still a little insensitive considering the company took over 4 million dollars through Kickstarter and delivered a sub-par experience. The company even delayed the 360, Mac and Linux versions at the last minute without communicating it to the backers.
