Responding to player requests, following the tragic passing of Star Wars icon Carrie Fisher earlier this week, the Executive Producer of Elite: Dangerous has confirmed that a tribute to the famous actress will feature in a forthcoming update for the game.
“Sad news indeed” Writes Frontier Development’s Michael Brookes “– a ‘Fisher’s Rest’ outpost will be added to the game in the 2.3 release.”
This is not the first time the highly successful space adventure game has paid tribute to a sci-fi star, according to GameSpot, in 2015 the developers added a “Leonard Nimoy Station” to honor the late actor, director, best known for his role as Spock in the Star Trek franchise.
