Variety are reporting that Ubisoft are already developing a movie based on Tom Clancy’s The Division. They’ve apparently already signed Jake Gyllenhaal to star as lead in the film. Obviously Jake Gyllenhaal is no stranger to Ubisoft properties, already starring in 2010’s Prince of Persia. It’s also being speculated that Gyllenhaal will be a producer on the title.
It’s no secret that Ubisoft will most likely be developing a movie based on The Division, with it being its most successful new IP of all time. The Assassin’s Creed movie will release later this year, Splinter Cell is in development and as I mentioned earlier, it’s not new territory with Prince of Persia releasing in 2010.
