YouTuber ‘Cycu1’ has put together a video comparing footage of The Last Guardian at E3 2015 to the more recent footage released just last week.
Interestingly enough, there have been some pretty big changes that are evident within a few seconds. Trico has changed quite a bit. He has a smaller tail, smaller wings and much darker feathers. This is interesting as The Last Guardian has been in development for 10 years, so it’s clear that there are still changes being made to the main character whether it be for development purposes or pure character design purposes.
The backgrounds are also much more detailed which is evident in this screenshot below. There is also a lot more effects which make Trico more believable as a character. For instance, there is now dust and shadow visible on Trico when the bridge falls.
The comparison is interesting due to the fact that the game recently received another delay.
The Last Guardian will now release on December 7th on PS4.
