Launch week sales of Watch Dogs 2 are well below that of the original game in the UK. Watch Dogs 2 entered the UK charts in second place, behind Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare which is in its third week of release.
Watch Dogs 2 was estimated to sell less than 80,000 copies which is quite unbelievable considering the first sold 380,000 in its first week.
There was some serious interest in Watch Dogs 1 which was one of the most over-hyped game of this generation, but this is a massive shame considering Watch Dogs 2 is an absolutely incredible game and one of the standouts of the year in terms of tone and storytelling.
This is a trend that we’re now seeing in games with Titanfall 2, Dishonored 2 and Call Of Duty: Infinite Warfare all down on previous entries in their respective franchises.
