We’re Probably Not Getting Another Uncharted Game

Naughty Dog’s Co-president Evan Wells has told Game Informer that it’s almost certain that Naughty Dog won’t be developing another Uncharted Game after the standalone title ‘The Lost Legacy’.

“I would say that Naughty Dog doing an Uncharted after this is unlikely,” studio co-president Evan Wells told Game Informer. “I would never say never, but we’ve got The Last of Us Part 2 on our plates and there’s so much other stuff that [we want to explore].” he continued.

Naughty Dog have been known to move on from franchises after 3-4 iterations, with them previously developing both Crash Bandicoot and Jak and Daxter before moving onto the Uncharted series and then The Last Of Us.

It’ll be interesting to see if PlayStation puts the series to bed or hands it off to another studio. Uncharted has been one of the best-selling PlayStation franchises in history.
