That October Red Dead Redemption 2 Release Date Wasn’t True After All

With Red Dead Redemption 2 being one of the most anticipated games of 2017, everybody wants to speculate about when it’s going to release.

Fans got excited earlier this week when a Polish retailer by the name of Media Market listed the release date of the game to be October 3rd. The store responded to people saying that it was a release date given to them by a distributor, but it was all too good to be true. the PR Manager for the Polish retailer reached out again to confirm that the employee had mistakenly put up the release date. The retailer now lists the game as ‘Coming Soon’.

Honestly, it wouldn’t be the first time that a retailer has put a date up for it to end up being true. It’s well known that retailers are privy to information from publishers well before anyone else. They need to forecast their sales earnings, which makes absolute sense.

Although, in this case, it could be true that Red Dead Redemption 2 is releasing in October (although I’d guess a tad earlier), this definitely isn’t confirmation.
