It was probably already known but EA has just confirmed in their earnings call that a brand new Battlefield game is coming in October. There was a minor leak last year that suggested that the game could be Battlefield Bad Company 3.
EA has also reported that Anthem was delayed into 2019 to let the next Battlefield game have its moment in the spotlight. This is probably in response to both Battlefield 1 and Titanfall 2 releasing just a few weeks apart.
I’d expect that we’ll see the reveal of the next Battlefield game in the next few months, with a full reveal at E3 in June.
