A Russian TV Station Aired ARMA 3 Footage During A Serious News Segment

A Russian TV station has aired footage from Arma 3 (a video game) during a report on the war in Syria.

As first reported by the BBC, the footage which is clearly from the game was played during a segment celebrating members of the country’s armed forces during a weekly program.

At a specific point during the video, you can see a truck being targeting through a gun sight. Watching this over a few times clearly shows that it’s from Bohemia Interactive’s ARMA 3.

Channel One cleared up the use of the footage: “The use of this frame was a mistake by the video editing director, who took it from the archive.”
