Just in case it wasn’t already thought that Guerrilla were working on a sequel to the highly successful Horizon Zero Dawn.
The game sold over 10 million copies, so it’s no secret that Sony would want another game, but a job listing has all but confirmed that there’s a sequel on the way. The job listing for a Technical Vegetation Artist, but it’s the description that suggests that more Horizon Zero Dawn. “Within Guerrilla, we have four teams dedicated to creating the stunning environments of Horizon. One team focuses on the creation of lush and stunning vegetation,” states the job listing.
It was confirmed about 5-6 months ago on a live stream with Janina Gavankar (Star Wars Battlefront II) that she’d seen some of the mind-blowing stuff that will be in the sequel.
It’s expected that we’ll see the return of Aloy in Horizon Zero Dawn 2 sometime on PS5. I’d say it’ll be early in the life cycle, with the potential for it to even be at the PS5 reveal event.
