SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom Rehydrated looks to have had its release date, a new trailer and new screenshots leaked on the Microsoft Store listing for the game. The game looks set to release on June 23rd (unless this changes due to everything happening in the world). The game is set to come to PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC.
The trailer shows Patrick, SpongeBob and a host of other playable characters, we get a look at a boss battle and there’s also multiplayer shown off. The new screenshots also show us the character selection screen as well as a number of playable characters.
I have to say, the game looks fantastic. The original has a cult following, and I have no doubt that this one will prove to be popular. We went hands on with the game recently and confirmed that it’s definitely a fun time.
