Another thing learned in the fallout of Game Informer’s coverage of Spider-Man: Miles Morales is that our hero will, at some wonderful point, rescue a shopkeeper’s missing cat from a group of thugs at a power plant. Though the cat is actually named ‘Spider-Man’ and is affectionately referred to by Miles as ‘other Spider-Man’, it looks as though it’ll make for a badass sidekick.
Though the clip doesn’t show a heap of Spider-Cat in action, it would appear that once returned to its owner, he lets the ball of feline fury out on other adventures with Miles to the point where it has its own little mask, leaping out of Miles’ backpack to deal out a bit of claw justice on the thugs of New York.
Understandably, the internet is losing its collective mind over the darling Spider-Cat.

It’s bloody precious and we’re keen to see how many other weird and wonderful suits Insomniac pile into Miles Morales, which is set for release on November 12, 2020, for both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.
