Resident Evil 8‘s product page has been updated on PlayStation’s website giving us a bunch of new PS5 specific details about the game.
We now know that the game will have Ray Tracing and support 4K visuals (this should be the same for the Xbox Series X version). What isn’t clear is the frame rate, but you’d hope that the game would still offer a 60FPS version given that the past few Resident Evil games have had this option.
When it comes to the DualSense controller, Resident Evil 8 will use Haptic feedback to simulate the feeling of firing a real gun. It will also utilise the Adaptive triggers to further simulate the pulling of a trigger.
Resident Evil 8 (or Resident Evil Village as it’s known) will release on PS5/Xbox Series X in 2021. It’s expected that we’ll see it early in the year.
