2K has shown off the first gameplay footage for WWE 2K22 and also revealed that it’s not releasing this year, but instead is releasing in March 2022.
We really don’t know a lot about the game yet apart from the fact that it will have new controls, a totally redesigned engine and “stunning graphics”. 2K has said that it will reveal more information about the game in January 2022.
It’s unclear if the plan was to release it later this year, but regardless 2K would be fairly aware that this game needs to release in a much better state than the last entry. Given the WWE has lost a lot of superstars this year as well, this might be a reason for why we’re not seeing the game release this year.
