This Gorgeous Final Fantasy IX Fan Project Just Released Its First Trailer

A Final Fantasy IX fan project that’s been in the works for more than five months now has just released its first teaser video, and it looks absolutely gorgeous.

Final Fantasy IX: Memoria Project is a non-playable project that is attempting to show off what Final Fantasy IX could look like given a modern remake ala Final Fantasy VII Remake, and has quickly attracted attention and amassed a sizeable team.

The project statement on the official website reads:

“Final Fantasy IX: Memoria Project is a non-playable passion project led by a team of professional developers and artists in the video game industry that aims to reimagine what the legendary game would look like if it was remade with modern graphical capabilities.
