In a somewhat sad development, the developer behind brands like Skylanders and the most recent remakes of both Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater and Crash Bandicoot, Vicarious Visions, has been finally folded into Blizzard Entertainment.
The presumed final tweet from the Vicarious Visions Twitter confirms the merger but confirms that the team will remain in Albany, being rebranded as Blizzard Albany.
We've officially merged with Blizzard Entertainment. Our development team will remain in Albany, NY and fully dedicated to Blizzard games. We invite you to follow us @Blizzard_Ent

Once absorbed, it means the team will exclusively work on Blizzard titles. Given their alignment with the company and their recent work on Diablo 2: Resurrected, the move doesn’t come as an enormous surprise.
This all comes as Activision-Blizzard still battles to repair its public image after the lawsuits stemming from the toxic work environment, as well as the acquisition of Activision-Blizzard by Microsoft which is still ongoing.
