PlayStation Games Are Selling Really Well On PC With Sony To Increase The Amount PC Content

Sony held its future segment briefing for game and network earlier today, which filled us in on some titbits of information including the fact that 20+ PlayStation VR2 launch titles will be there on day one.

PlayStation has been reluctant to releases its games on PC in recent times, but today it revealed the sales for the three titles it has released so far, and also revealed that it plans on ramping up this content in the future.

The PC sales so far are quite impressive given they’re older games:

  • Horizon Zero Dawn – 2.39 million units
  • God of War – 971,000 units
  • Days Gone – 825,000 units

PlayStation has said that by 2025, it plans to have PC releases make up at least 30% of its content offering.

It’s also expecting 300 million dollars in revenue from PC in this financial year, which means that it no doubt has more PC games to release this year (we already know about Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves collection).

In other interesting news, we know that Sony will release two live service games by the end of March 2022 and that it plans to have a 50% split between existing IP and new IP by 2025.
