Big, free feature updates aren’t a new thing in fighting games by any stretch, but Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl’s newest patch might just be one of the most substantial I’ve seen.
Not only does the new update, available right now for PC, Xbox, PlayStation and Switch, add Smash Bros-style items to the platform brawler but it brings with it something that was hugely missing from the original release – voice acting.
The news comes via the game’s official Twitter account, which also revealed the voice talent being added to the game, a mix of original actors for beloved characters as well as some new names:
We hope everyone enjoys the impeccable voice talent that these incredible individuals are able to bring to the table: pic.twitter.com/oRwGNtKQK9

The official account has since clarified that the update is also available now for Switch, and you can see the full patch notes for the update here.
In another timely move, Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl will be available at no extra cost to PlayStation Plus subscribers for a month, starting tonight.
