Metal Gear Solid 4

MGS: Master Collection Vol 2 Will Almost Certainly Include Metal Gear Solid 4

Yes please!

If there’s been one game more than any other that I see people sad about being stuck in the PS3 era, it’s Metal Gear sold 4, but that all looks set to change with Konami hinting that it could be coming in the next collection

Speaking to IGN about Metal Gear Sold Delta: Snake Eater, Konami producer Okamura tested MGS Master Collection Vol 2 as well as the inclusion of Metal Gear Solid 4.

“We definitely are aware of this situation with MGS4. Unfortunately we can’t really say too much at the moment with Vol. 1 containing MGS 1-3 dot dot dot… you can probably connect the dots!” said Okamura.

Obviously, whether this means that MGS 4 will come to modern consoles on its own or part of a Vol 2 collection remains to be seen, but it does seem likely, especially after Snake voice David Hayer posted with Snake from MGS 4 recently and said “had a pretty cool meeting the other day”.

Outside of this, MGS Peace Walker would be the only other game not to be playable on modern consoles, so we could see this along with 4 and 5 included on the next collection.

In our MGS Master Collection Vol 1 review, James said: “Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1 does precisely what it claims to do – bring the first three Metal Gear Solid games to all major platforms after a much-felt absence. While the technical updates given to each game are scarce, this still represents a great way to get into one of the most important and prolific series in video games. Could there be some more touch-ups to modernise these games? Absolutely. But it’s hard to ignore the quality of the games included in this package, and it’s a testament to their strengths that, even with slight improvement, they’re still as compelling as ever.”=
