PlayStation has announced just a few weeks ahead of launch that the PlayStation FlexStrike Fight Stick has been delayed indefinitely and will no longer release on on August 6th.
The delay is down to a production delay with PlayStation wanting to spend more time polishing the product before it launches. It’s unclear if this means that there was a fault found during production, or what the situation is, but we’ll let you know when we have an updated release date.
In a statement, PlayStation said: “We wanted to share an update on the launch timing for FlexStrike wireless fight stick. Due to unexpected production delays, FlexStrike wireless fight stick will launch at a later date. We will share an update soon.
We’re working to ensure we deliver the best possible experience to our players with FlexStrike, so we’re taking extra time to put the finishing touches on the product. We apologize for this delay and look forward to bringing the FlexStrike experience to the community when it launches.
Players who have pre-ordered FlexStrike wireless fight stick from direct.playstation.com can check their order status through the website and will receive communications regarding their order. Players who pre-ordered through another retailer should look for updates directly from that retailer or contact them with any questions.
The FlexStrike will work with the PS5 and PC and use PlayStation Link technology. It has an ergonomic design, adjustable controls, and the ability to keep your DualSense connected to navigate menus and such.
The PlayStation FlexStrike is due to launch at some point in the future and will cost $298 AUD and it’s available to pre-order on Amazon HERE.
