It’s been announced that you can now use certain Amazon Echo devices as an Eero mesh extender with the ‘eero built-in’ functionality landing in Australia.
This allows you to use select Echo devices as a Wi-Fi extender to cover 92 sqm of coverage with up to 100 mbps of speed for 10 or fewer devices in a 5ghz band.
This will work with all Eero devices available in Australia including the recently released Eero Pro 6E and Eero Max 7 and the below Echo devices:
- Echo Dot (5th Gen) with Clock
- Echo Dot (5th Gen)
- Echo (4th Gen)
- Echo Dot (4th Gen) with Clock
- Echo Dot (4th Gen)
- Echo Pop
The cheapest device in the list is the Echo pop, which is currently $79 with free shipping, but is regularly discounted at sale events.
