A Remaster of Dragon’s Dogma is Coming This Year

Remasters, reinventions and revivals of old franchises are gaining more and more popularity in the gaming world and another old favourite is joining the likes of Skyrim Special Edition and Modern Warfare Remastered later this year.

Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen, an action RPG developed by Capcom and originally released for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC in 2013, is making an exciting comeback on current generation consoles on October 3rd, 2017, in celebration of the game’s 5 year anniversary. You can watch the official reveal trailer below:

Directed by Hideaki Itsuno (Devil May Cry 2, 3 & 4), Dark Arisen is an expansion and re-release of Dragon’s Dogma and features all of the original content plus all additional downloadable content, an additional region and an additional fully fleshed questline.

The game is already available for pre-order at EB Games Australia for RRP AUD$69.95 and boasts improved high-resolution visuals as well as deep RPG mechanics and an epic fantasy setting.  At this point in time, there is no indication that the game will be available on the Nintendo Switch but we’ve got our fingers crossed and perhaps we’ll see a digital release at a later date!
