The Sea of Thieves update that dropped overnight that literally requires you to download the entire game again, seems to have locked out Game Pass users (which we can presume is a large chunk of players).
The issue was quickly being reported on Twitter and Reddit before the official Sea of Thieves Twitter account acknowledged that it was an issue that the team was working on.
It’s not clear what’s causing the issue, but it’s obviously linked to the brand new update.
“Our team are currently investigating an issue affecting Game Pass players and are working to resolve it as soon as possible. We’ll update you as soon as we can.”
