Disc-less Xbox Maverick Will Apparently Release In May

Windows Central has published what looks like the first solid details about the Xbox Maverick (codename), which is a disc-less Xbox One S which will apparently be called ‘Xbox One S All-Digital Edition’.

Pre orders for the console will apparently go live in Mid-April with the console thought to be launching worldwide in early May 2019.

Obviously, this console won’t play physical games and will mean that regardless of whether you buy games digitally or only use Game Pass, all of your games will be tied to a digital license. It’s unclear if Microsoft has a plan to let people transfer their physical games over to digital licenses.

A price hasn’t been speculated on, but you’d have to think that it will be the cheapest the Xbox One has been.
