It’s been well-documented that Apple refuses to let Microsoft have an Xbox Game Pass Cloud Streaming app on the iPhone/iPad due to the fact that Apple feel that they can’t regulate the games on its platforms.
Well, it looks to be good news for iOS owners with Xbox working on a solution to make this happen. According to Business Insider, Phil Spencer told employees in a meeting earlier today that Xbox Game Pass is targeting a 2021 release on iPhone and iPad.
“We absolutely will end up on iOS” are the words Spencer used when telling the employees about Xbox Game Pass on iOS. Business Insider is reporting that this will happen through the use of in-browser streaming. Interestingly enough, that’s the path that Amazon is going down with their new Luna streaming service.
We know that Australia is likely to get Xbox Game Pass Cloud Streaming at some point in early 2021, with Phil Spencer Tweeting about it recently.
