Australian Developed FPS ‘Icebox’ Hits Steam Greenlight

The fast paced 3D platformer First Person Shooter Icebox, from Australian developer Games of Edan has hit Steam Greenlight this week.

Being developed by Adelaide based one man team Carmine Fantarella, Icebox launched on Steam Greenlight on Tuesday and has a ton of potential to be a huge hit in the speed runner community.

Featuring two main modes, Speedrun, where the player races the clock while managing resources and maneuvering through procedurally generated levels. And a Campaign mode, where you play through one large procedural level on a journey to destroy a central AI and escape the Icebox.

Recently I had a chance to try it out at AVCon as it was part of the Indie Games Room, and was an absolute blast to play. Particularly the speed run mode which had me wanting to come back again and again for its addictive and fun gameplay, tight controls and to take on the leaderboards.
