In case you’ve been holding out on picking up a PS5 for the first time, or doing a cheeky upgrade to the slightly slimmer, higher-capacity new model PS5, PlayStation Australia has kicked off a week-long deal on the disc-based console.
Even better, is the discounted RRP has already been further undercut by retailers like Amazon, so while Sony is advertising a temporary low price of $724.95, you can actually get it for as little as $685 shipped which might not be the insane lows we’ve seen in the “old” PS5, it’s definitely some of the best sale activity yet on the slimmer version.
You can grab the deal from Amazon right now below:
PS5 Slim Disc Console Deal – March 25th – March 31st
- PS5 Slim Disc Console – $685 (RRP $799.95) on Amazon
- $615.20 on eBay (for eBay Plus members only) using the code PLUSPLAY
- $685 at Big W
- $685 at Catch.com
- $685 at Target
- $698 at Harvey Norman
- $699 at JB Hi-Fi
- $724 at EB Games
- $724 at The Good Guys
Also just dropped are the new Midnight Black cover plates for the Slim, so you can make your new console nice and sleek and still be paying less than the typical full whack.
In our review of the slimmer model PS5 we said, “For the vast majority of existing PS5 owners, the new slimmer model isn’t going to inspire any real need for an upgrade – but that’s hardly the point. PlayStation’s not only taken the opportunity to squeeze the immense size of the console down to a more reasonable volume, but added some welcome improvements along the way, meaning those looking to pick up a PS5 for the first time or add another to their household are getting an even better version of an already-great machine.”
