One of the surprise announcements from the PC Gaming Show this year has got to be the Age of Empires remaster, aptly titled “Definitive Edition”, which will be coming to Windows this year.
The remaster includes 4K UHD visuals, new zoom levels, new and improved gameplay, a new soundtrack and multiplayer is handled through Xbox Live on PC. The new graphics are certainly noticeable and those zoom levels should make this remaster a breeze to play when it releases.
It’s not a release we saw coming, despite Age of Empires turning 20 this year. But we’re definitely glad it’s coming.
